digital drawing for my book illustration class.
Siiiiiigh. I’ve been reworking this image for so long, and then this happened. Its been reworked to death. Nowhere near done, of course, but I’m kind of digging the abstract spontaneity in this piece
Sigh. Reworking some other old drawings. Still not feeling it. Maybe some things are just better left alone?
I just want to reach a point where I like everything I make.
I’m always really critical of my work, so sometimes it gets to a point where I just can’t stand looking at it. Sometimes scanning in illustrations and reworking them can leave them looking entirely different, especially colourwise. I was cleaning my room and came across a few original images, and realized that the scanned version really doesn’t do it justice. Sometimes its nice to rework old drawings instead of starting up something new, I find it very relaxing. Here’s a quick rescanning of an older illustration I made back in December. I think I like this one better!
trying to stay productive on this rainy day
just a quick sketch put into photoshop
an old drawing that i was messing around with on photoshop.. instead of putting together my zines for my zine fair! haha
