meh still kind of a wip. impatient to start posting art again, even if it is really subpar. been so preoccupied with my baking blog that ive pushed this blog to the side, a lot. might prefer baking to drawing nowadays…cuz its something i feel im better at? idunno anymore. just a late night and a bad mood.
Im trying to get back into the whole art making thing, post thesis. It’s hard.
may as well bombard you all with my schtuff.
these ladies are in progress, joining all the other in progress paintings in my studio soon.
i find that i like starting paintings and then once it gets too boring (im very easily distracted) I lose my patience and am left with no energy or desire to finish them. Like I’m excited to start a third painting soon… but am really annoyed at the prospect of having to finish these two. I guess i find rendering really tedious and tiring, even though its a big part of my practice.
eh.
last minute
illustration assignment - create a cover for American Illustration publication, utilizing a number. I chose 67… summer of love ‘67
if i had time i would redraw this by hand and take much more time with it. but this is a class that i really just need to wrap up so i can pump my remaining energy into thesis.
‘damaged beauties’ watercolour and pencil crayon, debuting in a new zine this wednesday!
my favorite panel from an phobia assignment for illustration class.. her phobia was a fear of elevators, and this old wizard type gnome man was the fear incarnate… lol

the one on the left I want to make the background more subtle, colours that kind of complement/are similar to the ones in the figure.
but i had a long day in the studio and now i need to focus on all the baking i need to do for my university’s fundraiser!
no i haven’t died!
just been working a lot on various things… here is some more thesis stuff coming together.
